I had not previously picked up an artist’s paint brush until 2007 when I took up this new hobby and, fired by enthusiasm, joined the RampArts art group in Rampton under the stewardship of Rosemary Millar.  With the building of a small studio tagged onto the rear of the garage the paint began to flow with a passion.  Examples of the work produced have been exhibited at the group’s annual show and I am also a regular exhibitor at the Cambridge Open Art exhibition (COAX) held annually in Swavesey with a modicum of success.  I work in a range of mediums but mainly prefer gouache in my art work.  However, I have also tried my hand at modelling with papier-mache and have recently moved on to abstract sculptures in stone, a work using alabaster being my latest project.
